About Publisher .pub to PDF conversion
Why did Publisher stop working?
Microsoft retired Publisher from Microsoft 365 on October 1, 2026. Subscribers lost the ability to open or edit .pub files in Publisher after that date. Microsoft's suggested workarounds — such as a PowerShell conversion script — require a working Publisher installation, which M365 subscribers no longer have.
